However, the recent executive orders issued by President Donald Trump on January 20, 2025, threaten to dismantle the protections and pathways that make our mission possible.
Through dedicated sponsorship, financial assistance, and unwavering community support, we have transformed the harsh realities of persecution into pathways of resilience and empowerment.
Yet, these new policies place countless LGBTQIA+ individuals at even greater risk, stripping away essential rights and undermining the very principles of refuge and asylum.
Now, more than ever, we stand resolute. RFTF remains a sanctuary for those facing discrimination, a shield against policies that seek to erase, exclude, and endanger. We refuse to allow suffering to be institutionalized, nor will we let fear silence those who seek nothing more than to live authentically.
